Office of Science, U.S. Department of Energy has posted the Early Career Research Program. Eligible Principal Investigators are within 10 years of having received a Ph.D. (no earlier than 2006) and are either untenured assistant professors on the tenure track, untenured associate professors on the tenure track, or full-time, nonpostdoctoral, permanent DOE national laboratory employees.

Early Career Research Program opportunities exist in the following Office of Science research programs:

  • Advanced Scientific Computing Research
  • Biological and Environmental Research
  • Basic Energy Sciences
  • Fusion Energy Sciences
  • High Energy Physics
  • High Energy Physics
  • Nuclear Physics
