The automatic federal spending cuts known as the “sequestration” went into effect on March 1, 2013. During fiscal year 2013, the sequestration will result in $85 billion in cuts in the federal budget, including around 5.1 percent in across-the-board cuts for non-defense agency federal budgets.
Because federal funding agencies are still determining how to implement the cuts, the impact on Boise State externally sponsored programs is still unclear. We will post information at this site as it becomes available.
